Description
This new head and valve plate assembly replaces the A640050 valve plate.
If air leaks out of the intake filter or if the compressor just isn't performing like it should, order this kit. A loss of pressure or slow pressurization is usually caused by either faulty gaskets and/or damaged or sticking valves.
Remember to tighten the bolts down to the proper torque specs as noted by the manufacturer.

Nice upgrade but assembled backwards from factory
Bought this as an upgrade for my type 1 husky compressor to a type 2 version along w a new piston sleeve and ring. All worked well except the valves were installed backwards and the compressor sucked air rather than blew air. Took me several tries to figure out what was wrong. This was the assembled w zip ties and I put it on exactly as assembled. So it was a little disappointing to have to redo it several times until I got the orientation correct. So beware that this part may not come assembled properly. And if not you need to flip the valves 180 degrees
